Mill Pond Cottage

3 bedrooms - sleeps 8 + cot

No Dogs Availability Prices Terms of Hire No Smoking

Millpond Cottage is a very old stone barn, where the shire horses that worked the fields were housed, along with all their equipment; the floor above would have been used for the storage of hay and straw. It has now been converted into relaxing, comfortable accommodation with all modern conveniences and yet retains its olde worlde atmosphere by keeping the stonework and the beams exposed.

The front door leads into an entrance lobby, then to a spacious open-plan sitting room with an open fireplace, tv/dvd player and radio/cassette/cd player, dining area and kitchen with all mod cons including fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, family size gas cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom including toilet, hand basin and bath with electric shower over.

A stable-door opens from the sitting room onto the cottage's own patio, overlooking the mill-pond and Llanllwni mountain beyond, with barbeque and garden furniture. The playground is only a short run away - close enough to keep an eye on the children but not near enough to be noisy!

The bedrooms are all upstairs: - two double rooms with wardrobe and dressing table with drawers under; the bed-heads and bedside units have been hand made from wood cut from our own trees that were the victims of a severe storm some years ago. The third bedroom has two sets of adult size bunk beds, wardrobe and dressing table with drawers under. There is also an upstairs toilet with hand-basin (hot and cold).

All bed-linen and towels are supplied free of charge. There is a stairgate and a cot and a highchair is available on request.

The cottage is carpeted throughout and is centrally heated; each radiator has its own thermostatic control as well as the cottage thermostat. The oil usage is registered by meter and charged at cost, as is the electricity. Baskets of logs for the fire are available at cost.
